About our collection
Our collection is focused on items that hold special significance for Holocaust survivors and their families who immigrated to Queensland.
We collect, research and care for original material from Queensland survivors, their descendants and within Queensland’s Jewish community.
The collection consists of social history objects, religious items, books, textiles, militaria, paper documents and records, photographs and albums, as well as visual art.
We also have a digital collection that encompasses digital images, video recordings and oral histories.
The main themes of our collection are pre-war, wartime and post-war. The primary focus is on survivors from Queensland: their perspectives, experiences, memories, testimonies and, by extension, those of their descendants.

Please do not send or leave any physical items at the museum without prior arrangement.
Survivors
Do you know a Holocaust survivor who called Queensland home (even if just for a short period)?
We are constantly adding names to our Survivor List and, as a result, expanding our understanding of life in Queensland from the perspective of Holocaust survivors.
